Pure cod liver oil is made from the fresh Icelandic cod found in the clean fishing grounds of the Northern Atlantic Ocean around Iceland. The fishermen in the small fishing village of Bolungarvík, sail out to the fishing grounds early each morning and return later in the day with their fresh catch.
- Dropi is exclusively cold-processed (protecting the natural form of nutrients, fatty acids, and vitamins A & D).
- Only the best of the oil is pressed out of the livers and is classified as “virgin”.
- Dropi capsules are all fish product all the way, even fish gelatin is used for the capsules.
The fish is then immediately cleaned and cold-processed to maintain all its natural properties. Low temperatures are used in the process to maintain all the natural properties of this valuable oil. The whole process is shorter than a normal commercially processed fish oil.
The oil contains pure and natural vitamins, omega-3 and other nutrients. No artificial ingredients are added.
Dropi cod liver oil is produced according to European standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (HACCP). The Westfjords are an industrial free zone. Since the very beginning, we have worked in close cooperation with Matís, Icelandic Food, and Biotech R&D.
