ADHD includes a wide range of symptoms, like difficulty in focusing and processing information quickly, fidgeting, impatience, and even anxiety.
Research shows that ADHD is really a hyper disorder. A sensitive child is labeled as hypersensitive. A distracted person is hyper-distracted. You might be active and distracted, so you are hyperactive. All of these conditions can affect anyone — regardless of their age. In fact, they are more prevalent, but less apparent, in adults.
Many women who have ADHD go undiagnosed. Some may feel overwhelmed with worry all the time. That’s hyper-responsible.
Many men sit for hours playing video games or search for porn all day. That is hyper addiction.
All of these things have one thing in common: dopamine function.
What Causes ADHD?
Some say bad parenting causes ADHD. Others say it is the genes. But bad parenting or bad genes have been around for thousands of years, and there has never been an epidemic of ADHD like now.
Our genes determine our unique temperament, but something else causes the “hyper” condition we call ADHD. Parenting styles can certainly support or inhibit the health of a child, but styles have not changed that much, and they don’t cause ADHD.

We are seeking more pleasure and stimulation because we’re not getting enough naturally. Theoretically, most people should be able to give up their phone, relax, and experience peace of mind. However, they are too stressed and seek constant stimulation and pleasure to attempt to feel balanced.
This is a phenomenon of our modern life.

How to Help ADHD

The same thing happens with high dopamine stimulation.
Stimulation causes the dopamine receptors in our brain to constrict. As the stimulation continues with hours of video games, online porn, desserts, or potato chips, more and more dopamine receptors constrict. Ironically, this only makes us hungry for higher stimulation.
There has to be a balance of high dopamine stimulation with low dopamine stimulation, but most people are unable to “come down” from their high stimulation, so they need extra nutritional support.
